Deana Chuzhinina, and I had a chance to meet when I was DJing for a Ronald Mcdonald Charity event a few months back. She was one of the models for the fashion show at the event. We got a chance to talk a little, and she argee’d to an interview with us. Check out the interview and some of here pictures!
When did you get into modeling, and what was your inspiration, besides your physique of course.
Well, I began to model at about the age of three. I attended a modeling school at John Robert Powers in Philadelphia. My mothers friend saw a picture of me and suggested that I should model, so after going there I told myself, one day I will become a super model no matter what. Since then I have been doing shoots and runway shows and things seem to be picking up for me so hopefully one day soon you’ll see me more!
Is modeling your main career choice?
I would have to say yes. Although school does come first because getting an education is very important to me but modeling is definitely my passion. If modeling doesn’t work out I would love to work for the FBI.
People think models have the easiest job, they just pose and take pictures, is that true?
It looks easy because models do such a great job at making it look that way. Modeling is not easy at all. Shooting for 4-8 hours straight, or preparing for a show is an all day thing that by the time your done your ready to come home and go to bed. It’s very tiring and it’s a lot of pressure because you never know what the final product of your work will end up looking like.
How do you keep yourself fit?
I try to go to the gym every day after school, but when I know I won’t make it to the gym that day I will just cut out the sweets and eat something a little but more healthy that day.
When you’re not modeling, how do you spend your time?
On the weekdays I am busy with school and going to the gym. On Fridays and Saturday I usually waitress. Sundays are usually shooting days or my relaxation day.
What was your most memorable photo shoot?
I think the shoot with Michael Creagh just because he has shot so many models in his time. He is a great photographer and I’m glad I got the opportunity to work with him.
What’s your favorite thing about being a model?
I would have to say the best part is all the interesting and cool people that you get to meet in the industry while working.
I know photographer’s get creative when they work, what was the most bizarre pose and location you were
asked to model?
Poses that look normal on a camera will look super odd in person and I haven’t had too much bizarre shots that I have had to do but probably when I did a fitness shoot I had to pose on a little bored, it felt like i was walking a tight rope.
Where would you like to see your career be in the next few years?
I would love to see myself being one of the angels for Victoria Secret. It’s my main goal in life, is to model for them one day.
If there was one thing you can change about your self, what would it be?
I would have to go with the height. I’m not really as tall as all the other models and a little boost in the height could really help out a lot!
In the future, would you ever consider doing a nude spread for a magazine like Playboy?
I probably would consider it but it would depend on the scenery and the idea of the shoot. As long as it is kept classy!
